The marriage of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ) couples has been legal throughout Canada since the implementation of the federal Civil Marriage Act in 2005.

In Toronto, we are proud to be the fourth largest city in North America and home to a diverse population of which over 50% come from outside of Canada. Of the worlds 196 nations, we are one of only sixteen countries across the globe that has legalized same-sex marriage.

On June 26, 2014, The City of Toronto, Casa Loma, Tourism Toronto and Egale are inviting LGBTQ couples to make their commitments official. We are proud to welcome World Pride to Toronto and even more proud to host the biggest international LGBTQ wedding in history.

After the ceremony, couples and their guests celebrate together by enjoying live entertainment and dancing away the evening! Over 100 couples will be joining us to celebrate this historic event. This is not only an elegant wedding, it is a message to the world… marriage is a right, not a privilege. You belong here.

After the ceremony, couples and their guests celebrate your union by enjoying live entertainment and dancing away the evening! All qualified marrying couples are invited to participate in this event FREE of charge*.

* Marriage license fees cannot be waived. Civil services will also be taking place at the event free of charge.
