Sous Chef 

Job Description:
Reporting to the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef, the Sous Chef is responsible for maintaining the standards of the Liberty Entertainment Group (Don Alfonso 1890 Toronto) kitchen as well as the department he/she is in charge of. The Sous Chef is expected to be responsible for the cooperation, communication and organization of staff within his/her assigned department.

Job Description:
$40,000 per annum based on 40-44 hours/week

Responsibilities:

Qualifications: 

• 10+ years of progressive kitchen experience in a high quality establishment that offers similar services
• Completion of a culinary apprenticeship program
• Comprehensive knowledge of international cuisine with a specialization in Italian and Mediterranean cuisine
• Experience preparing Michelin star recipes, using modern equipment and techniques, is required
• Food Handler Certification
• Must be flexible in scheduling to accommodate business demands
