To qualify for the contest, please bring a copy of your bands latest CD to the Phoenix Concert Theatre for Club 102 any Saturday during the month of July 2008.

The CD’s will be reviewed by representatives from The Phoenix Concert Theatre, The Rehearsal Factory and Iguana Recordings

10 Finalists will be chosen based on skill, originality and overall appeal.

These 10 finalists will be randomly separated into 2 groups of 5 bands each. Each of these 5 bands will perform live on the main stage at the Phoenix on 1 of 2 dates: Thursday August 7th or Thursday August 14th

These shows will take place in a “Battle” format and will be judged by various “celebrity” musicians who will be announced the night of the event.

1 finalist band will be chosen from each of the two
events. These 2 final bands will play the opening slot for a major headline artist (TBA) at The Phoenix for the final concert of the summer on Sunday August 28th. The band that gives the best performance will be crowned the winner and be awarded the following prizes:
- A month of fully equipped rehearsal space at The Rehearsal Factory
- Studio time at Iguana recordings with a professional engineer to perfect your sound
- A chance for your recorded song to be used in the next CLUB 102 Radio ad on 102.1 The Edge
